VIRGINIA: Early Mountain Vineyards Hosts Annual Father's Field Day June 17 & 18
This year’s annual Father’s Field Day at Early Mountain Vineyards will be on June 17 and 18. The event will include a special menu prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Collins, live music and, of course, plenty of Early Mountain wine.
Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, Virginia will celebrate Father’s Day with a gourmet summer spread and “field day” festival with live music on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18. Guests will enjoy locally sourced fare prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Collins, including a Fried Chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, pickles and mustard greens; a BLT with braised bacon, crispy bacon, tomato aioli, lettuce, herbs and heirloom tomatoes; and a marinated and fried mushroom sandwich with avocado and salsa criollo. Additional side items such as classic potato salad, shaved vegetable salad and marinated olives, as well as a selection of kid’s items, will also be available. All food will be sold a la carte.
Newly released wines from Early Mountain Vineyards including the 2016 Rose and 2016 Five Forks blend will be available for purchase as well as beer from Charlottesville’s Three Notch’d Brewing Company, including their 40 Mile IPA and 434 Summer Pale Ale.
On Saturday, guests will can enjoy live music from Ragged Mountain String Band from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and The Judy Chops from 3:00-5:00 p.m. On Sunday, the featured musical entertainment will be Chamomile & Whiskey Acoustic from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and Gallatin Canyon from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 17 & Sunday, June 18 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. (doors will open at 11:00 a.m.)
Guests can purchase Early Bird tickets, available here, for $12 for members and $15 for non-members through June 11. Beginning June 12, regular tickets will be $15 for members, and $20 for non-members with a $5 entry for guests under 21.
All tickets include entry, a glass of Early Mountain’s wine or a can of Three Notch’d beer, and a take-home koozie.
