SHAW: Columbia Place at 9th and L Street's NW - Starts Work Monday 4th April

The construction of Columbia Place at 9th and L Streets NW, (Shepherds Court NW) will commence on Monday 4th April. The site, that will eventually be 2 new (Marriott) hotels and an apartment building, will be fenced off stating Monday 4th April. Things you need to know;

• On 9th Street, between L and M, West Side, will have a jersey wall installed - taking up one lane. parking will not be available. The full lane from the corner of L to TG Cigars will be a full lane closure, then a graduated wall towards M Street. Accessible to pedestrian traffic.
• On L Street, from 9th towards 10th Streets, North Side, will have a jersey wall installed - from the corner of 9th to The Eldon Suites will be a full lane closure. Accessible to pedestrian traffic.
• The Alley access, off of L Street will be closed, it will be incorporated into the new buildings - a new alley will be created from L Street in the future.

It is estimated that the project will be completed in early 2018
