PENN QTR: Boxwood Winery Tasting at The Source on March 25
On Friday, March 25 winemaker Rachel Martin from Boxwood Winery in
Middleburg, Va. will pour tastes of her award-winning wine in the
lounge at
the Source by Wolfgang Puck. The wine will be paired with dumplings
from Chef Scott and Rachel will pour complimentary tasting size portions
of three of Boxwood’s most popular wines:
- TOPIARY: an elegant red wine, reminiscent of the Right Bank of Bordeaux. A blend of nearly equal parts of Cabernet franc and Merlot, depending on the vintage
- TRELLIS, a red wine with predominantly Merlot blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot
- ROSÉ, a dry wine produced of all Boxwood varieties

Chef Scott and his team will serve complimentary dumplings
including popular varieties like his lobster dumplings, ‘Tiny’ pork
belly dumplings, and the Chili “Dan Dan” chicken dumplings. The tasting
begins at 6:30 p.m., and includes complimentary dumplings
and wine tastes, however the full lounge menu will also be available for drink and food orders.
