ALEXANDRIA: Bastille Celebrates Grilled Cheese Day - April 12
April 12th is grilled cheese day and Bastille, located at 606 N. Fayette Street in Old Town Alexandria is celebrating by offering several mouth-watering versions of this classic to guests.
Proving that grilled cheese doesn’t just have to be a couple slabs of American on white bread, Chef Christophe Poteaux has taken this classic dish and given it a Franco-contemporary twist. The restaurant will offer the following sandwiches: Brie, cracked black peppercorn, cherry chutney and arugula on multigrain bread: ($13); Comte, avocado, piquillo peppers and pesto on multigrain bread ($12) and Mimolette, Dijon, and caramelized onions on brioche ($11).
The grilled cheese menu will be available for lunch in the bar and café.
