FALLS CHURCH: 2941 Restaurant to Host 'Spice Companion Dinner' March 12th Featuring NYC Spice Master Lior Lev Sercarz of La Boîte

On Sunday, March 12th from 5:00PM to 8:30PM (regular seatings available), Executive Chef Bertrand Chemel, Sommelier Ryan Jones, and team at 2941 Restaurant (2941 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, VA 22042; (703) 270-1500; www.2941.com; @2941Restaurant) will host their next spice dinner showcasing custom spice blends and a guest appearance from NYC Spice Master Lior Lev Sercarz of La Boîte Biscuits & Spices. This special one night only ‘Spice Companion Dinner’ will also celebrate the recent launch of Sercarz’s new book The Spice Companion: A Guide to the World of Spices, and each guest will receive one signed copy of the book of which is included in the price for the dinner.

Priced at $95 per person (not including beverages, tax, and gratuity), guests will enjoy a decadent 4-course spice-infused prix fixe tasting menu showcasing a selection of rare and custom spice blends from NYC Spice Master Lior Lev Sercarz of La Boîte (www.laboiteny.com). Guests will begin their dining experience with a gourmet greeting at their tables including their own personal sample of some of Sercarz's signature spices for them to taste, touch, smell, and bring home with them following the dinner. Sommelier Ryan Jones will also be on hand offering optional wine pairings with each course available for an additional $50 per person. Reservations are required.

“I had the pleasure of working with Lior during my time living and working in NYC for Daniel Boulud,” said Executive Chef Bertrand Chemel of 2941 Restaurant. “We met in the kitchen, became good friends, and I have truly enjoyed watching him become one of the most celebrated spice gurus not just for Daniel Boulud, but also for quite a few other celebrated chefs as well such as Eric Ripert, amongst others. After leaving NYC to take the Executive Chef position at 2941, I remained close with Lior – a culinary friendship spanning over a decade - and continue to use many of his beautiful spices in my dishes and on my menus at 2941 Restaurant year-round. We have hosted several Spice Dinners featuring Lior and his beautiful custom blended spices in the past few years and are humbled that they have always sold out and have become a favorite amongst our guests. It's an exciting way for us to showcase just how fantastic his one-of-a-kind products are. I'm proud of him and honored to offer a special dinner like the Spice Dinner where I can continue to make guests happy and expose them to Lior's wonderful spices. With the ‘Spice Companion Dinner’ we look forward to celebrating him and the recent launch of his latest book as well as sharing a signed copy of the book with all of our guests attending this special dinner".
