CLARENDON: BABA Opens Bringing The Comforts of Grandma’s Place Mixed with Modern Chic Appeal to Clarendon

BABA, Ivan Iricanin’s latest Balkan concept, opened today, Monday, March 20^th in the heart of Clarendon at 2901 Wilson Blvd,  just below the popular Ambar, with its own separate street entrance.

 

To help welcome the restaurant into the neighborhood, BABA is offering a week of specials promotions during breakfast, happy hour and late night.  First up, from March 20-24, guests can enjoy complimentary La Colombe coffee drinks between 8 AM to 10 AM.  The restaurant will also be extending its Happy Hour from 4 PM to 9 PM allowing guests two extra hours to enjoy house red, white, sparkling wine and Heineken beer for $5.  Happy Hour also includes a selection of $6 craft cocktails such as the Monastery, Maraska Slivovitz, lime juice, honey syrup, plum preserve and basil leaves; Barrel Aged Southern Delight, bourbon, Lillet Blan, peach liqueur, creole bitters and orange essence; B&B, rum, beet juice, lime, maraschino liqueur and mint, as well as select snack size

 Balkan dishes that takes inspiration from European tapas, priced at $5 each.  Standout tapas include Roasted Cauliflower, served with a creamy eggplant purée and pomegranate dressing; Fried Olives with blue cheese and cinnamon cherry tomato jam; Salmon Tartar with capers, quinoa and pine nuts; Pork Belly Slider with house-made pickles and a white bean purée, as well as Ham Croquettes with mustard dressing.

BABA is inviting late night-goers to RSVP to see DJ Marino spin tunes on Friday, March 24^th and Saturday, March 25^th between 10 PM and close.  Space is limited and interested parties are encouraged to RSVP via www.baba.bar/contact-us/ by Thursday, March 23^rd.  RSVPs are limited to two guests, and will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Monday, March 20^th through Saturday, March 25^th.  Coffee, Breakfast, Lunch & Brunch is served daily, from 8 AM to 3 PM. Dinner is served daily, from 4 PM to 12 AM.  Happy Hour is served Monday through Friday, from 4 PM to 7 PM.  A DJ spins Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 PM to Close.
