GEORGETOWN: EastBanc and Jamestown Secure Lease for AT&T Corporate Store in Georgetown

Wireless Provider Returns to Georgetown with New Modern Storefront
AT&T is arriving in Georgetown to “Mobilize Your World.” EastBanc, Inc. and Jamestown LP announced today that AT&T, one of the nation’s top wireless carriers, has signed a 10-year lease to occupy one of two premier retail spaces in the upscale, waterfront property 1055 High – a 28,760-square-foot condominium building with seven high-end residences overlooking the C&O Canal at 1055 Wisconsin Avenue, co-developed by EastBanc, Inc and The Willco Companies. This retail space will be AT&T’s sixth DC location with plans to move into the 1,409-square-foot Georgetown site this December with a grand opening set to occur in first quarter 2016. Bill Dickinson of Rappaport Retail Brokerage represented AT&T in the deal. The AT&T lease is the second of two lease opportunities in the 1055 High property, the first was secured by established online boutique Tuckernuck in early January.

AT&T is an industry leader, delivering its customers the newest and most accelerated networks, devices and applications. With the world’s fastest and most reliable global network, AT&T sets the standard for mobile data speeds and simultaneous voice and data capabilities for a world-class wireless voice and data experience.
“We are thrilled to have AT&T reopen in our portfolio and return to Georgetown, this time with a more modern look and offering,” said Philippe Lanier, vice president of EastBanc. “We are similarly excited to add more retail to the emerging lower Wisconsin Avenue strip, with recent additions of SoulCycle, Sweetgreen, Dog Tag Bakery and Chaia Tacos, which recently came to the block to join Patagonia along the C&O Canal.”
AT&T returns to Georgetown and remains the only wireless retailer in the area. In a neighborhood brimming with fashion and lifestyle retailers, the new AT&T store will be a much-needed addition to DC’s retail mecca. This accessible Georgetown location on Wisconsin Avenue will enable shoppers to service their wireless communication needs.
