DOWNTOWN: New Year, New Menu at Veloce
Some exciting details revealed today on a brand new menu
at Veloce, Ruth Gresser’s fast casual pizza restaurant, located at 1828 L
Street, NW. The new offerings, effective as of January 11, feature
personal pizzas
that are now sized at 10-inches from both the “Curated” and “Custom”
sections of the menu. Pricing has also changed, with the “Curated” menu
offering selections as low as $6 per pie.
The Veloce, for example, comes with Veloce marinara sauce and
mozzarella on a white crust and is now $6, with additional toppings at
$1 each. The “Curated” section of the menu has other new selections
including The Odyssey ($9) made with Veloce
marinara sauce, mozzarella, feta, cherry tomatoes, sweet red peppers, olives, zucchini, garlic, oregano, The Decoy ($7) organic tomato sauce, mozzarella, red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, hot cherry peppers, parsley and roasted garlic and The Urban ($9) organic
tomato sauce, mozzarella, bacon, roasted mushrooms, red onions, and
arugula. “Custom" pies are now $9 and guests can choose from a variety
of crusts, sauces and cheeses, and up to four different toppings.
In honor of the new menu, Veloce will offer all their “curated" pizzas for $6 each (pricing ranges from $6-$10) between January 19 and 22. Note, there will be no substitutions, and the restaurant will be closed on
Martin Luther King Day on January 18. During the following week, January 25 - 29, between 11 a.m. and 12 noon, patrons can buy one “curated" pizza and get one free. There will be no substitutions on this offer.
