RESTAURANT WEEK DC: Suggestion #13 - Rasika (West End)
Rasika West End,
located at 1190 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, will also be
participating in Winter Restaurant Week. Guests can indulge in modern
and authentic Indian fare also created by Group Executive Chef Vikram
Sunderam.
Appetizer highlights include Scallop Honey Ginger, bay scallops with a burnt garlic pepper sauce; Moongphali Chicken Tikka with peanut butter, chili flakes and mint chutney; Sweet Potato Samosa with ginger, green chilies and cranberry chutney, as well as the famous Palak Chaat, crispy baby spinach with sweet yogurt, tamarind and date chutney.
Entrée standouts include traditional favorites such as Tandoori Salmon with lime leaves, chili flakes and lemon pickle; Murgh Badami Korma, chicken, almonds, saffron and cardamom; Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani, aromatic lamb with basmati rice, saffron and raita, as well as Vegetable Thali, paneer shimla mirch, vegetable korma and dal makhani.
Restaurant Week-goers will enjoy the featured desserts such as Chocolate Mint Ice Cream; Lychee Rose Sorbet; Date & Toffee Pudding; Gulab Jamun with cardamom ice cream, and Saffron Rice Pudding.
Rasika West End’s Restaurant Week menu will be available from January 25-29, only during lunch service.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
